Tutoring Background:

September of 2008, I moved to Taiwan to become an English Tutor. As well as private one-on-one ESL tutoring (ages 4 to 40), I found myself in front of a classroom of 9 college freshmen between 20 and 30 hours each week. In addition to teaching grammar, essay writing, conversation, reading comprehension the first semester, I tutored classes in Psychology, US Geography, Microsoft Office, Public Speaking, & an Intro to Social Media. Some of my students have gone on to successfully pass the TOEFL and now are studying at a University in the US. One year later, September 2009, I returned home and am now working in Real Estate. This past semester, however, I spent homeschooling an 8th grade student in all subjects. He’s going off to High School, and I’ve decided to continue tutoring.

Services Offered:

Option 1: Conventional Tutoring (for those living in South Orange County, CA)

Struggling in any of the topics above? We will meet at your school, home or local tea house where I can review and refine your presentation (organization, ; discuss, dissect and edit your papers with you (grammar, punctuation, content & flow); help you proactively memorize content (studying for weekly quizzes? Midterm? Final?); or otherwise set up a plan to ensure your success this semester. Face-t0-Face Tutoring competitively runs @ $30/hr.

Option 2: e-Tutoring (worldwide)

Not in the area? No problem! Through Skype or iChat(AIM), I can provide all the same services as above through the wonders of the interweb. Because you save me travel time and money with this option, and because I get to wear Ugg boots and my Batman Pajama pants if I want to, the cost for this option is $10 less @ *˜$20/hr.

Option 3: Homework Help

Just need an extra pair of eyes to wax through your paper? Send it to me. I use Microsoft Word’s edit & comment functions to make my changes and allow you to review them before submitting it to your professor.  As well as grammar and punctuation help, I will check your paper for a tight argument, clear transitions between thoughts, proper formatting per your teacher’s requests, and a rock-solid thesis. In a time crunch? Let’s work something out. Typically, I edit @ *˜$10/page.
